Shape Shifter was published in 2006, and was the last of Hillerman's mysteries. In our mind, it's the most romantic, since 'finally' Chee and Bernie are married. 'SS' was the only Hillerman mystery that spent much time in Flagstaff, as well as northeast of the Navajo Reservation. If, like Leaphorn, you map out each of his books, one final mystery would have been located near Leupp, the only other sizable area not covered.
