Bell RockBELL ROCK - SOUTH (BR)
Bell Rock has two hiking areas; this one is pretty flat with light hills. Best in the morning or late afternoon: limited shade. Pretty views of Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte. Walk as far as you feel like it! Spring flowers are unbelievable, and romantic moonlight walks are really nice. Good biking area too.

DIRECTIONS: Just north of the Village of Oak Creek on SH179 about 1/5 mi on the right (BIG parking area). BELLROCK-PICS!

Crescent MoonCRESCENT MOON DAY USE AREA (CM)
This is the famous Red Rock Crossing and the beautiful view of Cathedral Rock. The walk here from the parking area is flat, with many benches to rest if desired. Follows the creek a ways. Nice area to watch the birds and very peaceful.

DIRECTIONS: In far West Sedona, turn south on UPPER Red Rock Loop (at the high school). Follow the road down into the valley; watch for the official brown Crescent Moon signs. CRESCENT-PICS!

Schnebly HillSCHNEBLY HILL ROAD TRAIL (SH)
If you or a loved one is a little 'mature' but would still enjoy a nice walk, this is it. The gorgeous view looks down on Uptown Sedona. Walk in the parking area, along Schnebly Hill Rd, or the actual trail. Especially good at sunset! There's also sitting benches overlooking the creek area. Trail bikers: take Huckaby trail here. SCHNEBLY-PICS!

DIRECTIONS: Just before SH179 crosses the creek, turn on Schnebly Hill Rd. Go out about 2mi; the trail parking is on the left.

West ForkWEST FORK - SHORT (WF)
This is a VERY popular hiking area, so best to visit during the week. The start of the trail is flat, crosses the creek on a pretty bridge and continues to the old Oak Creek Resort ruins. Historic and gorgeous views of the high canyon walls. Really interesting dug-out 'caves'! More difficult trail continues along creek. Winter also nice, but with a coat.

DIRECTIONS: Drive up Oak Creek Canyon on hwy 89A; it's well marked with a LARGE parking lot on the left. About 4mi below the switchbacks. Weekends, get there early. WESTFORK-PICS!
