Art ... why DO you like it? Some people are serious collectors. Each new piece is a conquest! Others are simply attracted to a feature, a place, or an artistic perspective. And some of us (forbid!), don't have a clue but just want to make our homes presentable!

Yet you know ... when the day is over, it is really just what YOU enjoy! And what YOU like. Remember: you rarely see quality art at a funeral home! Hmmm.
Galleries, though, can be a LOT of fun. Learning. Observing. And appreciating. They're like museums, except you can buy the pieces and ask questions! Here in Sedona, there's quite a large number of them. If you're a collector, your best bet is to research on the internet and of course talk with other collectors.
Sooo, what's there to choose from ... hmmm ... Are you in luck or what?! We've created a page for each area and the key stores available. Pick and choose, or spend a whole day gallery-hopping!

(1) UPTOWN Old-town Sedona where 'art' got its chance at the Sedona Art Center. Several new galleries right next door too!!

(2) TLAQUEPAQUE An old Mexican village under the large cottonwoods near the creek. So quaint and so relaxing. The best!

(3) EAST-CREEK GALLERIES Native-american rugs and high-art. What a combination. Stroll through the whole series of galleries!

(4) HILLSIDE VILLAGE Love bronzes? There's so many outside and even more art among so many of the stores. Plus food!!!

(5) AREAS NEAR SEDONA The Village of Oak Creek and Jerome are very competitive with Sedona. Especially Jerome!

Need a quick look at a MAP? Here 'tis.

Don't forget the Sedona Roadrunner buses! We're really proud of those buses and it took a lot of DISCUSSION (just being polite, you know)! The buses are free too!! They run every 10 minutes between uptown, Tlaquepaque, and Hillside Sedona. Look for a small bus-stop at each center.
Wayside ChapelDon't know if you wear a cross. A Sedona man named Wayne Light, for over 16 years, has been making great custom crosses as his calling.

Some are equisitely simple and others are quite unusual! You'll love them!

LOCATION: He used to be in West Sedona on SH89A. But now he's fully web-based. MORE INFO.

(Wayne DOESN'T know he's on our site. Shhh!)
By the way, when you get here, you'll NO DOUBT see many little painted pigs everywhere. Early in Sedona's history, pigs homesteaded here, and painted each other in their spare time. This was before another major artist effort, making silk purses out of each other's ears. (That quickly failed when they realized they only had two ears each.) Actually it's one of Sedona's MANY great artist programs to celebrate our most friendly (and maddening) guests. They're called 'javelinas on parade'! (For you Texans, these javelinas are NOT good fixins.)
